Itinerary Summary

Day 1-2: Kolkata (Start day)
This is your arrival day. You will have your group meeting in the evening followed by a jaunt through India’s colonial past, and present at the colourful Kali Ghat. All aboard! as we move through the night by rail to meet our bikes for the first time and journey to the Orchid nurseries and cheese capital; Kalimpong.

Day 3-4: Kalimpong
Enjoy this hill station town from a heavenly home and move between its highlights. Look down on valleys from the Durpin Gompa and enjoy its greenery.

Day 5-7: Gangtok
An ex kingdom’s sounds and sights await us in the pretty capital Gangtok, our base for exploring the magnificent monastery of Rumtek, high altitude lake at Changu and ancient trade centre of Nathula Pass.

Day 8: Lachen Valley
Entry gate to the remote Northern Valleys of Sikkim, Lachen Valley is where we enjoy the beautiful Chopta valley and all it has to offer.

Day 9-10: Lachung (Yumthung Valley)
This northern valley is where Sikkim boasts of its natural beauty. Enjoy dips in natural hot springs and a visit to point zero is a must do.

Day 11: Kewzing Home stay
Kewzing, meaning the land of wheat, is located in the southern district of Sikkim. The atmosphere in the village is very serene and peaceful. You get a chance to participate and witness rural life in Sikkim.

Day 12- 13: Yuksam
The sounds of waterfalls follow us on the ride to the ancient capital of Sikkim; here you will find a throne fit for a king that has remained standing for centuries.

Day 14: Kacheopalari Lake
Mystical and green, lined with prayer flags and the lingering smell of incense, Kacheopalari Lake is our home for one night as we stay at a Sikkimese family guest house.

Day 15-16: Pelling
The hill of the mountain gods allows you to almost touch the Himalayan Range, trek to monasteries and the ancient ruins of a palace to gaze down at the valleys and upwards to the heavens.

Day 17: Mineral Springs
A stay in the tiny paradise and ex tea garden of Mineral springs is one of the trip highlights. Be entertained by the singing and dancing of the local people at night and afterwards spend the night as a guest in their homes.

Day 18-20: Darjeeling
Tea capital of the world, Darjeeling, houses spectacular views of the Himalayas and an array of tourist hotspots, and of course tea tasting. A morning spent on Tiger Hill watching the Sunrise is surreal and the toy train is a nostalgic moment.

Day 22: Departure Day
End of Journey.
