The world’s tallest massif will dominate most part of our trip; the journey begins at the capital of India, Delhi, we explore the old city and spice markets. The serene Golden Temple awaits us at the border city of Amritsar. Peaceful days follow as we learn about the struggle of the Tibetan people in Dharamshala. Magical homestay at Chamba is great way to immerse into the Himachali Culture. We then head north riding past many mountain passes and stunning landscape to the town of Leh which we will use as our base to explore the surreal landscape and culture of Ladakh. Riding to the top of the world, highest motorable road in the world, Khardung La (5602 m) and lakeside at Pangong Tso (4350 m) will bring us closer to reality. We explore the various monasteries and dwell into the rich history and culture of the Ladakh.

Itinerary Summary

Day 1: Delhi (Start day)
This is your arrival day. You will have your group meeting at noon followed by Old Delhi Sightseeing.

Day 2: Amritsar
We depart early to Amritsar. You will be introduced to your bikes, visit the Golden temple and witness the fanatical border closing ceremony at the Wagah Border.

Day 3-5: Dharamshala
We take our first motorcycle ride and head to visit the new home of the Tibetan people and recluse of his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. We have plenty of time to explore and learn the ways of the Tibetan culture. Beautiful walks and cooking lessons are on offer.

Day 6-8: Chamba (Home stay)
Our ride today brings us to experience the Himachal hospitality, culture and cuisine at its best. We explore and marvel the ancient temples at Chamba. Visit untouched Himachal villages and escape the cities chaos as we breathe the fresh mountain air.

Day 9: Mandi
Riding today we arrive at the Old capital. The colour and smells of the market are rich in heritage. Many a temples lay for us to visit.

Day 10-11: Manali
The ride to Manali via the Kullu valley is a spectacular passage in the mountain roads. Famous for is apple and a dream honeymoon destination for locals is our gateway to upper Himachal and Ladakh region .We break here to prepare ourselves for the challenging ride ahead.

Day 12: Jispa/Keylong (140 kms)
Today we ride past our first mountain pass Rohtang La (3978m) and halt at Keylong hotel or camp at Jispa.

Day 13: Sarchu (110 Kms)
As we ride into the dry and arid Himalayas we stop for the night at high altitude campsite in Sarchu.

Day 14- 16: Leh (225 kms)
Today we loop around the famous Ghata loop and ascend 2 high mountain passes, Lachlung la (5060m) and Taglang La (5328m) as we swoop into the green Upshi valley and The long days ride will reward us with monumental Leh. We spend our days exploring the capital of Ladakh and admiring the Stok Range. We will be visiting the famous Hemis Gompa (monastery), Thiksey Gompa, Leh palace etc. In the days to follow.

Day 17: Hundar (120kms)
Big day as we summit the highest motorable road in the world, Khardung La (5602m). We rest our head at Hundar where double humped camels are not a surprising sight amidst the sand dunes.

Day 18: Leh (120 kms)
Riding back to our base Leh, en route we visit the Deskit Gompa, scaling the imposing Khardung la. You can wander to the Leh markets and spend time to find artifacts in the busy Tibetan markets.

Day 19: Pangong Tso (160 kms)
The scenic lake at Spangmik village is well worth the ride before we head to Leh. Passing the 3rd highest motorable road, Chang La (5289m), we spend the night in tents on the lakeside.

Day 20: Leh
Retracing our path we ride back to Leh taking in all the views and enjoying landscape.

Day 21: Lamayuru
Riding past the magnetic mountain and some stunning gompas we head to the unique Lunar Landscape at Lamayuru. We explore the area and its Gompas.

Day 22: Leh
Riding back to the capital, Leh, we spend our final trip days browsing the Ladakhi Markets. We will be visiting the Old Alchi Gompa famous for its wooden art work.

Day 23: Departure Day
End of Journey.
